Partnership to develop sustainable protein-based fiber
Andritz AG, Graz/Austria, a global technology group, has announced a collaboration with biotech company Tandem Repeat Technologies Inc. Philadelphia, PA/USA, to introduce industrial solutions for producing Procell, a new sustainable fiber for textiles and nonwovens.
This partnership combines Tandem Repeat's expertise in biotechnology with Andritz's experience in manufacturing equipment for nonwoven and manmade cellulosic fibers. Together, they aim to support the textile industry's move towards more sustainable production methods and alternatives to traditional synthetic fibers.
